Board members
- Antoine Huenges Wajer is a former notary and advisor in Maastricht. He chairs the CMF board and
combines his legal expertise with a strong commitment to talent development for students at the
Maastricht Conservatory. In his role, he actively facilitates fundraising and support for young
musicians.
- Hedwig Darley is an experienced manager, director, and supervisor in healthcare and education,
and vice-chair of the CMF. Drawing on her background in the public sector and passion for the
development of young musicians, she is committed to the CMF's fundraising, governance, visibility, and
relationship management.
- Vincent Kusters is a baritone and secretary of the CMF board. He combines his musical
experience with administrative commitment to the CMF, thus establishing a bridge between the music and
educational worlds and ensuring smooth consultations and procedures. As secretary, he oversees the
processing of grant applications and communication.
- Paul Rietveldt is a tax and financial advisor for SMEs and family businesses, and treasurer of
the CMF. He fulfills a financial role within the foundation, ensuring that the processes surrounding the
provision of student support are conducted carefully and honestly. He is active in fundraising and
relationship management with sponsors.
- Peter Steijvers is co-founder of the CMF, with a background as an orchestral musician and
former oboe teacher. He combines his knowledge and background in music and pedagogical experience with
board responsibility. He is the driving force behind the CMF, overseeing the artistic side of
fundraising events and acting as a key liaison and networker for the CMF and its students.
- Irja Zeper is head of the Jazz department at the Maastricht Conservatory and member of the CMF
board. She focuses on promoting young musical talent and managing relationships in the region. In her
role as department head, she serves as an advisor to the board, ensures careful processing of funding
applications, and plays a key role in student relations.
- Marloes De Nul is a jazz vocalist, song and lyric writer. As board member with a Master's degree in Jazz and as
Music Education student, she brings her musical expertise and student experience to the board. Her
involvement provides complementary perspectives on fundraising activities, talent development, and
connections with students.
